ACF Real Molinillo in Los Borrachos Cup

ACF Real Molinillo lined up with the other teams for the opening ceremonies.

ACF Real Molinillo sent a 14-man team to play in the first-ever Los Borrachos Cup, played at the JSU-AMOSUP Sports Complex in Malate, Manila. The tournament was organized by the Los Borrachos Football Club, a club made up primarily of former players of San Beda College, Manila.

Representing ACF Real Molinillo were Romualdo Yuson, Eugene Hernandez, Cyrus Vatcha, Xerxes Vatcha, Ezekiel Terrones, Gabriel Louis Montalbo, Kenneth Paul Patajo, Nestor Natanauan Jr., Simon Javate, John Patrick Mercado, Tyron Edward Regalado, Ted Regalado, Felix Adejuwon and Nicolo Carl Pena.

The squad that participated in the one-day tournament had many college players.

The young squad, made up mostly of college players, defeated Gator FC and drew with Mendiola FC and Primero FC. After a bright start, however, the team lost to Meralco FC, Los Borrachos FC, Albuelo FC and Corinthians FC.

The team thus failed to make it to the final but gained valuable experience for future tournaments. Rex Torrecampo, who coached the team, already made arrangements with the organizers to participate in the second edition of the cup which will be held in 2016.

The club began brightly, winning one game and drawing two.
