Season II of Real Molinillo League Kicks Off

Action in the Bayern Munich v Juventus match on the league's opening day.

The second season of the ACF Real Molinillo League kicked off on 12 July 2015 at the LAX courts in Lipa City. This season, the league carries a Champions League theme, with players divided into four teams given the names Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Juventus.

After the first round of play, Bayern Munich leads the early table on goal difference after a dominant 7-5 victory over Juventus. Bayern led all the way but relaxed in the endgame to allow Juventus to claw back to a two-goal deficit.

In the first match of the afternoon, Chelsea threw away a 3-goal lead to narrowly lose to Real Madrid by the score of 7-8. Madrid scored two early goals but Chelsea struck back with 5 straight goals to take a 5-2 lead. Chelsea lost its concentration as the game wore on to eventually lose by a solitary goal conceded late in the game.
